Disaster Management Integrated System (DMIS)

Project Description

DMIS is a digital platform to maintain, update and disseminate information to users for decision making and various relief assistance through DBT during pre, during and post disaster.

Approach and Objective

• Aadhaar based secured online delivery of financial relief assistance directly to bank accounts of affected farmers.
• Online generation of Sanctions, bills, demand generation and
communication to users.
• Automation of various process like Inventory & Asset Management,
Resource Management, Capacity Building and Fund Management.
• Building an effective Mass communication module in which the
SEOC / DMRCDD department can send bulk SMS, IVRS to the
targeted population about early warnings & alerts of calamities.

Outcome

• Under Agriculture Input Subsidy till date INR 2300/- Crores of subsidy
has been provided to 34 Lac farmers during Samvat 2075.
• Under Other relief till date total application received are 7194 and
around more than INR 40 Lacs amount has been disbursed
successfully.

Outlook

• Use of Analytics for predictive analysis.
• Use of big data for generating statistical (social media analytics, hot
spot mapping) and machine.
• Creation of GIS based decision support system- early warning
system- Flood, drought, Satellite.
