Raj WiFi

Project Description

Raj Wi-Fi project is envisaged to establish Wi-Fi network in various government offices and public places in Rajasthan. This Wi-Fi network is being used to provide internet access to the government officials as well as visitors in government buildings up to gram panchayat level in Rajasthan.

Approach and Objective

Project is executed to provide internet access through Wi-Fi network. The objective of Raj WiFi are as follows:
1. Internet access to government officials in government buildings through Wi-Fi network.
2. Internet access to students of government colleges and hostels.
3. Free Wi-Fi services to visitors in government buildings up to gram panchayat level.

Outcome

1. Total 3,811 Wi-Fi Access Points are installed at state /district/ block level in urban areas across state.
2. 9960 Wi-Fi Access Points are installed in rural areas which covers 8710 gram panchayats across Rajasthan.

1. Officials of government departments.
2. Visitors in government buildings up to gram panchayat level.
3. End users at Bharat Nirman Rajeev Gandhi Seva Kendra (BNRGSK) up to gram panchayat level.
