FRA (FOREST RIGHTS ACT)


Project Description

The Forest Rights Act, 2006 by the Government of India to provide for the structure for recording the forest rights so vested in the forest land and the nature of the evidence required for such recognition and vesting of the rights in respect of forest land.
In this context, the FRA portal has been developed to provide single-point access to citizens to avail benefits of the FRA acts.

Approach and Objective

• Single integrated platform for all schemes of TAD
• Seamless flow of information from one hierarchy to another
• Online Forest Land claim workflow cycle management,
• Promote transparency in the system by giving access to citizens to track the status of claims online.


Outcome

• Citizen can file land claim application by himself using the online portal or through e-Mitra kiosk
• Tracking of land claim application
• Public access to reports of all departments for increasing transparency.
• Reduction in travel time and cost, time-bound information, zero or fewer visits to offices.
