RTI (Right To Information)

Project Description

RTI Portal has been developed with an objective to provide single point access to all information and services mandatory under the RTI Act, 2005 in respect of all public authorities / Government Offices / Organisations of Government of Rajasthan.

Approach and Objective

• Single integrated system for carrying out all the department’s RTI related activities
• Availability of comprehensive information and RTI status on a real-time basis
• Quick and speedy RTI filing and resolution
• Provision for online second appeal and complaint submission by citizens, PIO, and Rajasthan Information Commission and end to end workflow facilitating dictation of decision by Information Commissioner.
• Ease of Administration by simplification/standardization of processes and forms
• Increase in efficiency, transparency, and accountability

Outcome

• Citizen can file RTI application by himself using the online portal or through e-Mitra kiosk along with online submission of application fees.
• Actions corresponding to RTI Act- 2005 by Information Commissioner, First Appellate Authority, and State Public Information Officer.
• Tracking of applications and appeals along with appropriate timelines.
• Automatic letters and notice generation, SMS & Email triggering.
• Public access to reports of all departments for increasing transparency.
• Bilingual application giving ease of use.
• Reduction in travel time and cost, time-bound information delivery, zero or fewer visits to offices.
