Home Guard Deployment Portal


Project Description

The important task of the Home Guards Department is deployment of volunteers under which the volunteers are employed temporarily against the vacant posts in security arrangements. The objective of Home Guard Deployment (HGD) Portal development is to create a comprehensive IT system which provides end to end solutions for the current challenges and problems faced by the Home Guards Department in the deployment of Home Guards.

Approach and Objective

• To provide different interface to Home Guards officials to enter all the details of the volunteers, agency and demand request into the system, prepare list of total eligible volunteers for deployment.
• To provide an interface to the agencies to mark the attendance of the deployed volunteers


Outcome

• Compilation of Volunteer Profile Master data, Agency Profile Master data at a single place.
• Intimation of deployment to the Volunteers and Agencies on their registered Mobile phones through SMS and email respectively.
• Analytical Dashboards for proper tracking of Volunteers, Agencies at District and Directorate level.
• Strengthen the process by reducing manual intervention.
• Reduced turnaround time for complete process.
• Improve transparency, efficiency & accountability of the Home Guard Department Officials and agencies.

• 23837 Volunteers & 167 Agencies on-boarded.
• Phase 2 (Demand Generation, Attendance, Deployment, etc.) – Completed and live since 01.01.2025
• 15 districts have received modules for testing.
• Pilot testing completed in Dausa and Jhunjhunu with minor change requests and deployed in 10 more districts
