Design, Development & Monitoring of Online Permission Approval Form (17-A) Anti-Corruption Bureau


Project Description

According to the last Amendment in "The Anti Corruption Bureau Act, 2018", the Department needs approval from the competent authority i.e. Appointing Authority for the investigation against the personnel . The Department has envisioned the need to develop a web portal to generate the 17A for the complaint intimation to respective department to seek their approval for further investigation

Approach and Objective

• Automate the process of generation of application forms seeking approval by ACB to investigate an individual
on the accusation of corruption from the concerned competent authority.
• Ensure the proper monitoring by the Home Department i.e. Sent, Pending, and processed forms through visual
dashboards.
• Ensure implementation of SOP among the stakeholders for e-permission generation by the concerned
department


Outcome

• Uniform and effective implementation of the prior approval process under section 17A of the ACT
• Implementation of SOPs
• Repository of Investigations for future reference.
• Analytical Dashboards for efficient complaint tracking and monitoring.
• Strengthen the process by reducing manual intervention.
• Reduced turnaround time for complete process.
• Improve efficiency and accountability of Departments.
